If they disappear…….?

So many don’t want to live in a world without them; so many will cry ;so many will be disturbed; so many will suicide    owww can’t imagine it if the social networking sites  disappearing one day from the digital world
                                           Got A BACKUP PLAN…?
With 900 million people around the world logging into Facebook on a regular basis, you might be inclined to think the social networking site will be around forever.
However, Eric Jackson, the founder of investment firm Ironfire Capital, begs to differ. Speaking on CNBC’s business show Squawk on the Street on Monday, Jackson said he believes Facebook will have “disappeared” by 2020.
“In five to eight years they are going to disappear in the way that Yahoo has disappeared. Yahoo is still making money, it’s still profitable, still has 13,000 employees working for it, but it’s 10 percent of the value that it was at the height of 2000. For all intents and purposes, it’s disappeared,” Jackson said on the show.

return of investment

Return Of Investment (ROI) in Social media marketing

The key to the success of any website or online campaign is that it is designed
with clearly defined objectives in mind. These will be used to measure the
success of the website or campaign, and are crucial to maintaining focus within
online activities you have to use various kind of analytical tools to check your marketing performance .like google analytics and various free and paid services are available now
In order to track the performance of your efforts, you need to have an analytics program in place. Marketing analytics tie to your CRM solution and reveal astonishing data not only on traffic and leads, but also on new customers acquired from various channels and campaigns.
To get  a good report you need to monitor several key factors.
Traffic-
Overall, how many people are coming to your website? Look
into what channel drove the most and least visits.
Leads-
How much of this traffic are you converting into leads and potential customers? This number should be constantly growing to ensure a steady flow of revenue.
Customers-
You should always be mapping your campaigns and channels
to customer acquisition. How many sales did you close this
month?
Traffic, Leads and Sales by Keywords
you need to know which keywords are drawing in the most visitors to your
site. This is actually data that Google Analytics can provide you with easily. However, you should
go deeper than that. Which keywords brought in the most sales?
Customer Acquisition Cost
How much are you investing to draw in each new customer? If you rely primarily on outbound Marketing methods, like trade shows and direct mail, your cost per customer is probably pretty high.
Effectiveness by Chanel
What promotional channels or referring sources are sending you the most traffic?

Tracking, analysing and optimising is vital to the success of any marketing
efforts, and even more so to digital marketing efforts. digital marketing allows
for easy and fast tracking, and the ability to optimise frequently.

ROI = (return – investment) / investment %.
This means that if you increase your return while keeping your investment the same, then you increase your ROI. This is good. If you decrease your return while keeping your investment the same, then the ROI goes down. That’s bad. A high ROI is better than a low ROI.
Because the ROI formula uses only two inputs – the return and the investment – the ROI formula is an easy way to measure and compare marketing campaigns.

The story Behind the Logo

Logo Is  a thousand words on one impression ;It’s identity It’s reorganization And it’s a creative face of Your business . A logo should be- Simple -presentable –describable –effective –memorable – scalable
Here is some of the logo’s and their story behind which influenced us and keep influencing in  today ‘s online world

Google wanted to convey that it was as a search provider first and foremost. It offered fast, comprehensive, and above all trustworthy search results. It was innovative, algorithmically complex yet incredibly simple to use. Furthermore, Google as a brand should repudiate all things corporate, conventional or complacent," Ruth Kedar the designer behind Google Logo wrote once  Ruth was introduced to Larry Page and Sergey Brin by a mutual friend at Stanford after they had previously admired her work and thus decided to hire her
There were several meetings between her and the (now) Mountain View based company's founders, each reconciling the vision and the expression that lead to the final design.

They decided on the design we still see on the homepage because it hit several of the main points that the (now) multi-billionaire duo set ahead of her. Most of all, it was playful and its simplicity swayed them, no effort was needed for reading it and the colors "evoke memories of child play, but deftly stray from the color wheel strictures so as to hint to the inherent element of serendipity creeping into any search results page and the irreverence and boldness of the "I am feeling lucky" link." The shading was well thought of, giving the letters both weight and lightness: "It is solid but there is also an ethereal quality to it,"
As Ruth said “Google has evolved and grown beyond our wildest imagination - who knew that it would become one of the most ubiquitous and recognized brands worldwide and that Google would be a noun and a verb?"

By the way, how many of you have noticed that the two "O"s in Google are slightly tilted to the left?

Facebook  is one of the top five social networks. Facebook possesses great success in the social networking services and has grown immensely in a short period of time. The website has more than eight million users in the US and it has expanded itself further to many other countries of the world.
DESIGN ELEMENTS OF FACEBOOK LOGO
Since its inception, Facebook has not made drastic modifications to its logo, except for changing the shade and resolution of the logo. Facebook has successfully held the same brand image and nonpareil recognition for providing people with the ability to share and connect with the world.
Shape of the Facebook Logo:
The Facebook logo is rectangular in shape with the network’s name enclosed within it.
Color of the Facebook Logo:
The Facebook logo comprises of a blue background and white font. The color of the logo signifies zeal and passion of the youth that formed this network.
Font of the Facebook Logo:
The font used in the Facebook logo features the company name in lowercase. The simplicity of the font wonderfully manages to capture the attention of the viewers.

Yahoo! Inc. is a leading internet services company, providing an array of products and services including a web portal and search engine, the Yahoo! Directory, Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! News. The company was co-founded by two Stanford University graduates Jerry Yang and David Filo in January, 1994, and later incorporated on March 2, 1995.
Yahoo! hired an interactive agency named Organic, Inc. to redesign their logo in 1995. Chief designer Kevin Farnham at Organic Inc. created the logo that we see today. The Yahoo! logo is one of the most popular corporate logos and the typeface stems from a T.26 font titled Able.
INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT YAHOO LOGO:
YAHOO! is not an interjection but an acronym for “Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle.”
Click on the logo’s exclamation mark at Yahoo! home page and you’ll hear the company’s trademark yodel. It was made famous by country & western music star Wylie Gustafson of Wylie & the Wild West.
The world’s second most popular web engine started out as “Jerry and David’s Guide to the World Wide Web.”
The alternate version of the Yahoo! logo’s color is purple.
The previous logo – called as the “Jumping Y Guy” – featured a blue circle representing the Earth with a yellow Y-shaped stick figure leaping from the Earth backed by a purple shadow.

YouTube is one of the most popular online websites that hosts videos posted by its users. Three former PayPal employees founded YouTube in February 2005 in San Bruno, California. Chad Hurley was a designer whereas Steve Chen and Jawed Karim were engineers at PayPal. The first ever video to be uploaded was titled “Me at the Zoo”. The popularity of the website spread like bushfire and attracted heavy investments from giants like Time Warner and Sequoia Capital.
Within a year of its foundation, YouTube was bought by Google Inc. for $1.65 billion. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and now operates as a subsidiary of the search-engine giant. The most popular video-sharing website uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated content, that ranges from movie trailers, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video logs and short films. According to reports, more than 4.7 billion videos were watched daily on the website in 2013
YouTube’s biggest attraction is the free service it offers to its users who can upload, share and view videos. Most of the videos found on the website are homemade. The videos are streamed online enabling the viewer to watch it instantly.
DESIGN ELEMENTS OF THE YOUTUBE LOGO
The YouTube logo is immensely popular on the Internet and one of the most widely recognized logos among web users. The logo has become an icon of video broadcasting, ensuring users the best online experience by either sharing, uploading or viewing millions of videos.
Shape of the YouTube Logo:
The YouTube logo can be divided into two features. The first feature sees ‘You’ written in black whereas ‘Tube’ is bounded by a red rounded rectangle distinguishing it from the first one. The company’s slogan “Broadcast Yourself”, can be seen beneath the two logo features.

Why Google is so popular?
How many of us have a day without Google O my God it’s a question?
Google is the most friendly search engine I have ever seen yes sure I can call him a friend too
Because ‘He’ never disappoints me Never; and after all a friend in need is a friend indeed right
Google changed the face of search technology by evaluating a web page’s importance by the links that pointed at it, both in sheer number and by how much Google trusted the sites those links came from. Google is fine-tuning their search algorithm to accommodate an accurate Author Rank score — which is a radically different way to identify great content out of the clutter. In simple words “Google with its well tuned algorithm provides you with well refined Result for your search”
Google Recently announced that the voice recognition tools in Google Now will be added to Google Search. These kinds of searches have been available for a while now in Google Search only as typed queries for people participating in the field test. But this is the first time Google's voice search will be able to recognize this sort of typed query and voice query by default. Yes with Voice search -Ask questions out loud and get answers spoken back good!
And with the new Google knowledge Graph -Google can understand the difference, helping you more precisely express what you mean as you enter your search.
While growing fast Google is nourishing knowledge of our life with quality content

‘Google continues to dominate the worldwide search market, with its sites accounting for over
66% of searches
With 900000000 -Estimated unique monthly Visitors ‘

Facebook  V/s Google +

Recent research reports says that  Google‘s strategy is working in terms of getting users engaged in its social networks. The report estimates Facebook‘s active users in mid 2013 at 693 million, compared to 350 million for Google+& YouTube with  280 million .Its a fact that facebook’s Active user’s accounts are more active than G+’s
While Google is compared to Facebook’s new Graph Search. Its data indicate a marked decline in the percent of Facebook users who are actively sharing information about their daily lives—a significant source of data for Graph Search.
Facebook is only aggregating what exists in the Facebook eco-system or what consumers have opted into share.

The reason for Google + increasing popularity as per the research is the way that people are being made aware of its value in a business context. Google has added pop-up labels that help to identify people in your company as you post updates, for example. But, beyond these mechanical features, Google has promised that Google+ profiles will factor more in search rankings over time, so more and more people are beginning to pay attention and at least fill out their profiles and link them to their content so as not to miss out. Google has wired together all of its products and used those interconnections to boost “active usage,” is indeed relevant, because it indicates the density of data it can collect about its users
